I’m an outdoor creator based in Calgary, Alberta. I grew up with the Himalayas in the background, and I’ve spent the last few years exploring the Canadian Rockies and beyond — always with my 80-lb co-pilot in tow. This blog is where I keep the trail guides, the photos, and the honest stories from the road.

Most posts here fall into one of three buckets: trail guides (the kind I wish someone had given me before I started), gear notes (what’s worth the money, what isn’t), and stories from the road. 1. How can I afford to travel so often?

I save aggressively and lean on road trips out of Calgary when I can. Big trips get planned around shoulder seasons — cheaper flights, quieter trails.

3. Have you ever been in danger?

Once or twice, usually weather-related. The lesson is always the same: pack warmer than you think, leave more daylight than you think, and turn back earlier than you want to.

2. How Do You Get Your House Sitting Stays?

Honest answer — this question came with the template, and house sitting isn’t really my thing! Calgary is home base for me and the dog. I’ll swap in a more relevant question soon.

4. Did you buy an around-the-world ticket?

Nope — I prefer one-way tickets and figuring it out from there. Round-the-world fares are great if you want a fixed schedule, but I like leaving room for detours.
